✅ Pass Wide and Slow Doctrine
- Requires motorists to slow to 10 mph and maintain 6 feet of clearance when passing equestrians on roadways.
- Mirrors last year’s cycling law, which mandates 3 feet of clearance for cyclists.
✅ Recognition of Equestrian Zones
- Establishes Equestrian Zones in communities and requires them to be identified in city and county master plans.
- Ensures new developments consider the needs of equestrian communities that have existed for decades.
✅ Improved Public Awareness & Infrastructure
- Sets new standards for street crossings, signage, and access to public riding areas.
- Enhances public awareness of how to safely share roadways and trails with equestrians.
